The product, in perspective.
This one-component chlorinated-rubber coating is intended for hardwearing coating systems on suitably prepared surfaces. Check the service conditions and compatible preparation coats before selecting it for industrial work.
A specialist finish for the industrial surfaces covered by its coating system. The existing coating matters when recoating. Supply its name or condition so the proposed system can be checked rather than assumed compatible.
Where it works.
The documented surface or use for Chlorinated Rubber Paint is suitably prepared industrial substrates. Identify the actual material and its condition before selecting the preparation and finishing system. An existing coating, a newly prepared base and a repaired area can need different treatment.
- A specialist finish for the industrial surfaces covered by its coating system.
- Available quotation packs and component requirements are checked for your selected product, rather than inferred from another grade.
Before you start.
Remove contamination and loose material. Steel, new galvanised metal and plaster follow different preparation and primer routes; select the one that matches your substrate.
For a useful specification check, share whether the surface is bare or previously treated, the name of the existing coating if known, and any visible damage or moisture exposure. Preparation products should be selected for that condition before the finishing material is applied.
Application and project planning.
Follow the chlorinated-rubber system’s specified primer and thinner. Application method and dilution should be checked as a complete system.
The existing coating matters when recoating. Supply its name or condition so the proposed system can be checked rather than assumed compatible.
Measure the area to be treated and allow for the number of coats required by the coating system. Surface texture, absorption, application method and material losses can change the amount needed. Tell us the area and proposed system when requesting packs; the published coverage is a planning reference, not a guarantee of your project’s consumption.

Good questions, useful answers.
Which thinner should I ask about?
Name the exact chlorinated-rubber coating and request its specified thinner. An automotive or epoxy thinner is not automatically the correct substitute.
What should I include in my quotation?
Give the exact product name, requested pack size, quantity and relevant colour reference. Add the surface, application and destination so the product and delivery requirements can be checked together.
How do I choose the right pack and quantity?
Use the available pack choices and the quantity required by your coating or installation plan. Tell us the area, number of coats or relevant joint dimensions if you need help assembling a material list.
Can I confirm a colour from the product picture?
The image represents product packaging, not an exact shade match. Use a manufacturer colour reference for a coloured product, or specify that colour is not applicable for the material you need.
Keep the specification close.
Use the full manufacturer technical information when planning preparation and application. Include the exact product and system details when contacting KariVex about a quotation.
